A lifelong history enthusiast, David Falconieri first became intrigued by the War of the Roses as a teenager while reading Shakespeare's historical plays. After six years abroad, he traveled to Britain and researched The Beggar's Throne by immersing himself in fifteenth-century English history, examining ancient texts, and visiting battle sites.
